General Information:

The Centre consists of two buildings located approximately 150 meters apart.

The main building, home to the National Park’s Environmental Education area, features a permanent exhibition titled “Journey through the Sierra de Guadarrama”, which transports visitors from the high peaks to the valleys of the Sierra. In the outdoor area, nine thematic zones showcase different natural aspects of the Sierra de Guadarrama, including a pathway adapted for visually impaired individuals. Both the Centre and its facilities are accessible to those with reduced mobility. It is certified with the ISO 14001 and EMAS Environmental Management Systems.

The Visitor Information Point is a building located just after the barrier that leads into La Pedriza. It offers brochures, maps of the local routes, visitor recommendations, and more. It also has a room where various temporary exhibitions are rotated, and it is accessible for people with reduced mobility.

How to Get There:

By Private Vehicle:

  • From the AP-6 / Northwest Motorway (Madrid-A Coruña), take the service road at exit 36 (Collado Villalba), continue in the direction of Moralzarzal, and then follow the road to Manzanares El Real. At the roundabout near the mountaineer statue, turn around to access La Pedriza.
  • From the M-607 / Colmenar Motorway (Madrid-Colmenar Viejo-Navacerrada), take the exit for M-609 / Soto del Real / Miraflores, then take the M-608 towards Manzanares El Real. Pass the roundabout near the mountaineer statue, then take the exit for Camino de La Pedriza.

By Public Transport:

  • Bus 724 from Madrid (departure from Intercambiador de Plaza de Castilla) to Manzanares El Real. From the stop near the church or the entrance to La Pedriza (at the roundabout by the mountaineer statue), it takes about 15 minutes to walk.
  • Bus 720 from Colmenar Viejo to Collado Villalba, with the same stops as the previous bus.
