Following war traces
Nature and history come together in the Sierra de Guadarrama a landscape of great beauty that for centuries has been a crossing area between two plateaus, via various passes and hills. Due to its location between two plateaus, it was an important territory for both sides during the Spanish Civil War. In the Guadarrama municipality, the conflict left many traces such as warlike constructions generally located in strategic places of great natural beauty. These ruins, key for our history, continue to hold up regardless of the years and despite all the new uses that the Sierra de Guadarrama has been given. They are interesting both for their historical significance and for the legends about them, as well as for the richness of the natural heritage that shelters them.
The desire to preserve and get to know these places that invite to long and guided visits comes from respecting the past.
