Accessibility

The objectives of the Sierra de Guadarrama destination include contributing, through both public and private efforts, to ensuring that people with disabilities and diverse needs have access to, appreciate, enjoy, and protect the Sierra de Guadarrama. This is achieved through the provision of information, raising awareness, and offering training to all stakeholders involved in the destination regarding accessibility.

To this end, we provide all visitors with an accessibility conditions report for 15 urban routes in the Sierra de Guadarrama. Additionally, the report includes easy-to-read texts for these 15 urban walks, with the aim of introducing the most representative resources, such as monuments, parks, fountains, traditional residences, and other places of interest, along with their histories. The report has been developed in collaboration with Predif.

Furthermore, we offer a sensory-guided experience along the Camino de Santiago de Madrid for individuals with visual impairments. This is facilitated through a free app that guides them using 3D sounds that indicate the direction of the path and provides accessible descriptions at significant points along the route.

We also provide various easy-to-read guides for visitors, including one for the Sierra de Guadarrama National Park, as well as other significant resources in the Sierra de Guadarrama destination.
