General Information:

The Centre is surrounded by magnificent forests of Scots pine, in a unique location within the Sierra de Guadarrama, right in the heart of the Fuenfría Valley. This area, of great environmental value, features a wide network of paths winding through the Valley, allowing visitors to enjoy the landscape and the beloved corners of this region.
The Centre’s building houses a reception area, public service counter, exhibition hall, library, and classroom. The permanent exhibition consists of a series of interpretive panels and an audiovisual presentation about the Fuenfría Valley. Throughout the year, several temporary exhibitions are held.
In the surrounding exterior area, there is parking, a rock garden, and a plot where the valley’s native vegetation is reproduced.

How to Get There:

By Private Vehicle:

  • From the AP-6 / Madrid-A Coruña, take exit 47 towards M-600 / El Escorial / Guadarrama, heading towards Guadarrama. Then take M-614 / Navacerrada-Guadarrama. Once in Guadarrama, take M-622 towards Cercedilla and continue on Ctra. de las Dehesas until km 2, where the Centre is located.
  • From the AP-6 exit 39 towards M-601 / Collado Villalba / Puerto de Navacerrada, drive to Navacerrada and continue on M-614 to the intersection with M-622, then follow the same route as above.
  • From M-607 / Colmenar Highway (Madrid-Colmenar Viejo-Navacerrada) to Navacerrada, then continue on M-614 as mentioned earlier.

By Public Transport:

  • Larrea Buses: 684 and 685, with multiple stops in Cercedilla.
  • RENFE Cercanías: Line C8b, Cercedilla station.

If you choose these two transport options, you can reach the Centre in several ways from the train station:

  • Walk along the path parallel to the Ctra. de las Dehesas.
  • Take the intercity bus to the La Fuenfría Hospital, which stops right in front of the Centre.
  • Follow the Puricelli Path.
