A tasty tour in the Sierra de Guadarrama

 

Sierra de Guadarrama offers a whole world of possibilities. Serra de Guadarrama is well-known for its nature, heritage and outdoor activities but apart from that, what will also actually make your mouth water is its gastronomy. Its cuisine is excellent, juicy and diverse. Thanks to a unique natural environment, many of its natural products can be used, and they make the resultant dishes special, and of high quality. Sierra de Guadarrama produces beef (it has the protected geographical indication status), aromatic herbs, spices, mushrooms, fungus, honey of different varieties and flavours, game products, pure goat cheese made with fresh milk (using goat milk from Cabra de Guadarrama breed) and vegetables watered with fresh water.

 

With these products cooked by expert hands, magnificent menus can be made and the food tasted in charming establishments, at the foot of the highest peaks of Madrid region. The wines with Vinos de Madrid appellation and the homemade desserts put the finishing touches to a meal like those in the past, with the authentic taste of food.

These culinary delights are to be found very close to the capital of Spain, just over 50 km away, in places that can be reached by car or by bus (motorway the for the most of the route), and even by train (in Renfe Cercanias).
